Boston Celtics forward Jae Crowder is not happy that his home fans cheered for Utah Jazz forward Gordon Hayward. Hayward can become a free agent this summer and is expected to be targeted by the Celtics.

Hayward played college basketball for Brad Stevens, the Celtics’ head coach. Hayward and Crowder play the same position.

After getting raddled by the cheers, Crowder went out and scored 21 points. He was also six-of-seven from three-point range in 35 minutes in the Celtics’ 115-104 win.

“I heard the cheering before the game,” Crowder said. I didn’t like that at all. I think that was a sign of disrespect to me from the fans. That sparked a little fire in me. I just felt disrespected.”

Hayward is averaging 22.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 0.4 blocks, and a steal for the Jazz this season through 28 games.

He has a $16.7 million option for the 2017-18 season. With the way money was handed out this past summer, Hayward could get way more than that.

“Home teams fans cheering for the opposing player now,” Crowder said on Twitter. “Aw, Man Ok. SMH But good win fells onto the next one.”

Crowder is in the second year of a five-yard, $35 million deal. He signed that contract with the team in July 2015.

He also does not like reporters talking about potential 2017 free agents.

“[Those types of stories keep] interrupting my people,” he said. “And I keep seeing trade rumors, and I still see stuff like that. It’s like, man, it’s never going to stop. It’s never going to stop. I don’t get mad about it. I just make fun of it as I did. Sleeping emoji — that’s funny. That’s what I did.”
