On Wednesday night, the Rutgers-Camden men’s basketball team faces the Montclair State Red Hawks at Panzer Athletic Center in Montclair, N.J. The game is slated to start at approx. 8 pm EST.

The Scarlet Raptors are 1-9 and the Red Hawks are 7-6. Rutgers-Camden is 1-6 on the road and Montclair State is 4-2 at home.

Montclair State is 4-2 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Rutgers-Camden is 1-6 in the conference.

Their only conference win came on Jan. 7, 2017 when they defeated the Kean University Cougars 68-56.

Montclair State won the last meeting between these two teams. The Red Hawks won 89-74 on Feb. 6, 2016.

In the past 10 games between these two teams, the Red Hawks have won nine times. Their only loss in this stretch came when the Scarlet Raptors won 69-59 on Dec. 15, 2012 at the Rutgers-Camden Athletic and Fitness Center.

Rutgers-Camden has won their last two games, including a 68-67 win over #17 Neumann University Knights on Monday night. It was their first win over a ranked team since Jan. 24, 2004 when they defeated #23 Kean Cougars 66-65.

They have not lost a game since Jan. 4, 2017 when they lost 94-86 to the Ramapo College of New Jersey Roadrunners.

Montclair State had their last game with the Richard Stockton University Ospreys postponed due to snow.

They have not won a game since Jan. 4, 2017 when they were defeated 48-46 by the New Jersey City Gothic Knights.

They have actually won two straight games. They have not lost a game since Dec. 30, 2016 when they were defeated 89-82 by the Cabrini College Cavaliers in the 37th Roosevelt’s 21st Greyhounds Classic in Bethlehem, PA.

Montclair State is averaging 70.2 points per game. They are giving up 70.4 points.

Rutgers-Camden is averaging 68.5 points per game. They are giving up 77.8 points.

Isaac Destin leads the Scarlet Raptors with 13.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Julian Martin is averaging 4.9 assists.

Brandon Channer leads the Red Hawks attack with 16 points per game. Rahsaan Johnson is averaging 7.1 rebounds and Jovanni Chatham is averaging 2.6 assists.
