According to a driver, who has appeared on the hit TV show, Street Outlaws, drivers from the show are expected to race at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, N.J. However, track co-owner David Napp, who shared ownership of the track with his brothers, said nothing is confirmed yet.
“We are hopeful something will get done with them,” he said. “We’re in negotiations, but nothing is official yet.”
This is the second straight year that the historic track is trying to bring members of the show to their facility for an event. Last year for their July Night of Thrills event, four of the racers were supposed to compete against each other three times.

It was originally supposed to be Street Outlaws Oklahoma City’s “Daddy Dave” Comstock vs. Street Outlaws New Orleans’ Kye Kelley. Also, New York’s Petey Smallblock was scheduled to face Street Outlaws New Orleans’ “Lil’ Legend” Bobby Ducote.
During the NHRA Summernationals, The Capital Sports Report was informed by Napp’s brother Alex, who had scheduled them, that Kelley and Ducote had backed out. Justin “Big Chief” Shearer was at the NHRA Summernationals after working out their differences with the National Hot Rod Association — and, according to the Napp’s at the time, it did not appear like he was interested in racing at the thrill show.
A month before the show, the staff had to scramble to try to find replacements for those two. Alex got Daddy Dave and Chuck Seitsinger, but just days before the 41st Night of Thrills show on July 20th, they had to back out due to the show.
“Due to a conflict in filming of their Hit Television Series “Street Outlaws” stars Daddy Dave, Chuck, and Kye Kelley will not be on-site for the Night of Thrills event on July 20th,” the track said in July leading up to the event. “However we are making attempts to feature them at an upcoming Raceway Park event. The Night of Thrills will feature Top Fuel Dragsters, Jet Dragsters, Jet Funny Cars, Hell On Wheels BMX Student Show, Fireworks, all the kids Favorite Cartoon Characters and of course, car-crushing Monster Trucks!! Avenger, Black Stallion, Monster Medic, Iron Warrior and many more!”

At this time, it is not clear if those four or different Street Outlaws will be racing at Raceway Park in 2017. They were not the only local track to try to get the Street Outlaws, as Maple Grove Raceway in Mohnton, Pa. attempted to secure the Street Outlaws for an event in Aug. 2016.
However, nothing materialized.
“We do not want to go through what we did last year,” Napp said. “We’re going through a lawyer this time so everything is binding. We do not want to disappoint our fans again like last year.”
