According to Pro Football Talk, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer has pulled his children out of school and no longer lives in the state. Fox Sports 910’s Mike Jurecki said he did this following the 2016 season.
While Palmer is up in the air about a return, but this shows that he has already made up his mind. Why move your children and your family if you plan on returning for the 2017 season.
Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians has said he would like for Palmer to return. He even said, “If my body responds the way I hope, [I will be back].”
The new era could beginning now for the Cardinals. Drew Stanton has been Palmer’s backup and he’ll definitely be a candidate to replace him once Palmer — if he really does walk away — retires from the league.
He has been in the league for six-years and he’s 32-years-old. However, he has not proven to be a starter in the league. He has filled in for Palmer when he could not play.
With this news, the Cardinals will now have to focus on finding their next quarterback answer in free agency.
