Wild acquire centers Hanzal, White

The Minnesota Wild acquired center Martin Hanzal from the Arizona Coyotes on Sunday. Center Ryan White and a 2017 fourth-round draft pick are also going to Minnesota.

In exchange for Hanzal, White and the draft pick, the Coyots are receiving a 2017 first-round draft pick and a second-round draft pick in the 2018 NHL Draft. They are also receiving a conditional draft pick in the 2019 NHL Draft.

Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher is expected to put Hanzal on the same line as Mikko Koivu and Eric Staal.

This season, Hanzal has 16 goals and 10 assists for 26 points in 51 games.

This will be his second team that he’s played for in his career. He goes back to 2007-08 season with the Phoenix Coyotes.

In his 10-year career with the team, he had 117 goals and a 196 assists in 608 career games.

This will be White’s fourth team in his National Hockey League career. He also played for the Montréal Canadiens and the Philadelphia Flyers before signing with the Coyotes on July 1, 2016.

In his career, he had 29 goals and 29 assists in 294 games.
