According to The Ringer’s Michael Lombardi, the Seattle Seahawks are open to trading corner back Richard Sherman. The key word there is open.
“I hear Seattle really would be open to moving Richard Sherman if the offer was serious,” he said.
This is the first known — if true — possibility that the Seahawks are willing to deal Sherman. He’s going to be 29-years-old later this month.
He struggled through an ankle injury last season. He also clashed with the coaches, as well.
He’s due to make $22.431 million over the next two season. That’s nothing with the way money was handed out to begin free agency several days ago.
While this report may be true, it’s hard to believe it’ll play anywhere other than Seattle during Week 1 of the 2017 season.
