Emmanuel Sanchez defeated Marcus Galvao at Bellator 175 at the AllState Arena in Rosemont, Ill. Sanchez had the advantage on all three judges score cards, as he won 30-27.

This was the fifth decision on the card. However, it was the fourth unanimous decision.

The 26-year-old Sanchez has won his past two fights. He’s now 15-3 in his MMA career following the win.

“It means everything,” Sanchez said. “Windy City, baby. Both of my cities are here tonight.

“Mr. Coker [Scott Coker, Bellator President], please forgive me. I made a mistake and I’m a changed man now. Who wants to see me fight for the belt? Listen to this crowd, you can’t deny my title shot. I’ve proved myself and I’ve been fighting former champions for the past three years.”

Sanchez’s past eight fights have gone the distance. He only lost two of those fights — against Pat Currant on June 26, 2015 and against Daniel Weichel on July 22, 2016.

The 34-year-old Galvao lost his first fight since defeating L.C. Davis in December 2016. However, he’s lost two of his past three fights — both were unanimous decision losses.
