Goldberg, who lost to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33 for the WWE Universal Championship, gave an unscripted goodbye to the WWE Universe following Monday Night Raw. He came out to the ring after Raw went off the air; however, Goldberg’s comments were on the WWE Network.

The 50-year-old recently said that returning to the WWE was a nightmare on his body. However, he said he came back so that his son could see him wrestle.

During his speech, it seemed like this is the final time that the WWE Universe would see him in a ring. He thanked his family and his supporters during the speech.

While Goldberg does not have a contract at this time with the company, he said “never say never.” He said that before and he did come back for the past several months after being away since 2004.

He was the WWE Universal Champion for 28 days after defeating Kevin Owens at the Fastlane pay-per-view. He then lost it to Lesnar at their aforementioned WrestleMania 33 match.

With Goldberg stepped away, it also appears that Sunday’s grandest stage was also the final match for 52-year-old The Undertaker. He wrestled for 27-years, before losing to Roman Reigns and leaving his gloves, trench coat and hat in the middle of the ring.
