James Hinchcliffe won the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach in Long Beach, California. This is his first win since his near-fatal crash at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 2015.

It is his fifth career win. He joins Sebastien Bourdais as the first two winners of the 2017 IndyCar Series.

He also won the 2013 Itaipava Sao Paulo Indy 300 on Sunday, May 5th, 2013, in the Streets of Sao Paulo in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

His other two wins have come at Iowa Speedway in 2013 and the 2015 Indy Grand Prix of Louisiana on Sunday, April 12th, 2015, at NOLA Motorsports Park in Avondale, Louisiana.
