The triangle offense helped Phil Jackson to 11 championships as a head coach. However, it’s been a disaster with the Knicks.

Jackson, who recently received a two-year extension secretly, wants his team’s to use it. Derek Fisher, who was the head coach last season before being fired, could not get the players to use it correctly.

Jeff Hornacek, the Knicks head coach, was doing his own thing, before Jackson tried to get him to run the offense late in the season. As it has done without Jackson calling the shots from the bench, it has failed miserably.
