Nitro Fish Racing Suzuki Pro Stock Motorcycle rider L.E. Tonglet has won the eighth annual NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at zMax Dragway in Concord, N.C. This is his first win since joining forces with reigning champion Jerry Savoie in the off-season with White Alligator Racing.

Tonglet — who is a firefighter when he’s not racing — won with a 6.864 at 195.00 pass. He defeated Harley-Davidson teammates Eddie Krawiec and Andrew Hines and Scotty Pollacheck in the final round.

“It’s just unbelievable what we’ve come through this weekend alone,” Tonglet stated. “With the four-wides you just have to be prepared for anything. You just have to concentrate because if you lose your train of thought it’s going to be bad.”

This is his 10th career win. However, this is the first-time that he has won at zMax Dragway.

This is Tonglet’s first win since Sonoma last season. During that race, he defeated Hines in the final round with a 6.813 compared to Hines’ 6.864.

Despite the win, Tonglet is third in the points standings. Krawiec leads the points with 225 points. Hines is second with a 177 points.
