Oubre Jr. ejected in Game 3

Washington Wizards forward Kelly Oubre Jr. was ejected in Game 3 of their series with the Boston Celtics. He charged at then knocked over Kelly Olynyk.

Prior to the ejection, Olynyk was called for an illegal screen. Then, as he was talking to referee Monty McCutchen, Oubre Jr. got up, ran over to him and knocked the big man down.

Oubre Jr. was then given a flagrant 2 foul and ejected. The fans were chanting, “Kelly Oubre! Kelly Oubre! as the referees were discussing the fouls.

Then, as they confirmed his ejected, the fans at the Verizon Center gave Oubre Jr. a standing ovation. They also booed Olynyk when he was shooting his free throws.

The incident happened with the score 45-24. Prior to the ejection, Oubre Jr. made his only basket of the game in five minutes.

The teams met four times in the regular season. And the Celtics had a 2-0 advantage coming into this game.
