While the proposed mega fight with Floyd Mayweather is still waiting, Conor McGregor is no longer waiting to be a father. His girlfriend Dee Devlin welcomed their first child, Conor Jack.

The baby was born on Friday night at the Coombe Maternity Hospital. The baby was 8 pounds and 14 ounces.

McGregor’s father, Tony, said the mom and the baby “are doing well.”

“There’s great news for the McGregor’s and the Devlin’s,” McGregor’s father said. “Baby Conor Jack McGregor was delivered last night at 8 pm in the Coombe Hospital.

“We’ve experienced this recently with our eldest daughter and there’s no better feeling in the world than being a grandparent. The parents are absolutely over the moon and everyone is healthy.”

McGregor – who last defeated Eddie Alvarez in November’s Madison Square Garden show in November 2016 – announced that the couple was having a baby.

“I’m gonna be a daddy early next year,” he said following the Alvarez win. “I’m crapping my jocks. I just don’t even know what way to take it.”

McGregor has not fought since the Alvarez fight. In the past few months, the McGregor-Mayweather fight have heated up. UFC boss Dana White has said recently that the fight will happen.

When it does happen, it is expected to be the most anticipated fight ever with cross branding. It is not clear if it will happen at the MGM Grand Garden Arena or the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
