Top Dragster qualifying at Atco

ATCO, NJ — Through the first qualifying session on Saturday — and the third overall — Joe DeGuara leads the field with a 6.119 at 230.76 mph. The Nesconset, New York native will attempt to keep the lead during the fourth qualifying session at the PCRichard.com NHRA National Open Series at Atco Dragway.

There are 14 cars presently qualified. Fred Perkins Jr. from Plainville, Conn. is second with a 6.469 at 218.48 mph. Greg Kelley, who is from Hainesport, NJ, is third after going 6.509 at 208.33 mph. NHRA logo - lucas oil series222

Glenn Flack qualified fourth with a 6.509 at 208.33 mph pass. Jeffrey Livezey Jr. rounded out the Top 5 as the Philadelphia, Pa. native went 6.857 at 194.18 mph.

Joseph McOwen was sixth as the Shamong, NJ native had a 6.874 at 198.35 mph run. Jim Dunn picked up the seventh qualifying spot with a 6.955 at 193.24 mph run for the Roselle Park, NJ native.

Scott Albrecht holds the eighth spot with a 7.076 at 188.62 mph pass. David Anthony, who is from Canada, is ninth with a 7.234 at 185.87 mph. Andre Brown, who is the uncle to NHRA superstar and three-time champion Antron Brown, is tenth with a 7.365 at 183.49 mph run.

Deb Moses, John Martin, Marty Jones Jr. and John Pellechia are the final four qualifiers. Moses went 7.374 at 177.42 mph, while Martin went 7.442 at 177.88 mph. Jones Jr. went 7.512 at 180.16 mph and Pellechia went 8.916 at 117.38 mph.
