In a shocking turn of events, the Kansas City Chiefs have released veteran wide receiver Jeremy Maclin. He played the past two seasons with the team.
He was expected to have a $12.4 million salary this past season. But due to his release, the Chiefs will have to deal with $7 million in dead cap space — and more the next three seasons.
Also, by releasing him after June 1, they are saving $10 million.
More to come.
