The Logo is returning to Los Angeles. Jerry West, who had his contract expire at the end of the season with the Golden State Warriors.

West will serve as a consultant with the Clippers, like he did with the Warriors. He helped guide the Warriors to two championships in the past three seasons.

With the Clippers, he’s going to work with Doc Rivers, who will be in charge of their rebuilding. It appears, as of this moment, like both Chris Paul and Blake Griffin will exit Los Angeles for greener pastures.

Despite both players able to make more with the Clippers, Paul is already being mentioned with the San Antonio Spurs. Griffin – even though he’s been injury prone — has interest from the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Boston Celtics.

He has served as a special consultant for the past six-years with the Warriors. West turned 79-years-old on May 28th.

Under the Warriors, Bob Myers has called the shots while West may have helped in some decision-making moves. However, he is credited with being the architect of two Lakers championship runs.

The first was in the 80s with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Magic Johnson. The second game two decades later with a three-peat by Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant starting in 2000.

West also served as an Executive Board member with the Warriors. As an executive, he is an eight-time champion.

He was also the Executive of the Year in 1995 and 2004.
