Boestch knocks out Hendricks

Tim “The Barbarian” Boestch knocked out Johny “Bigg Rigg” Hendricks in the second round at UFC Fight Night 112 from the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Boestch used a heavy head kick to get Hendricks down, before making the  referee end the fight.

The fight was over 46 seconds in the second round despite the fans wanting their native son to win. Boestch has won his past four fights by knockout.

He has won three of his past four fights. The only loss came to Ronaldo Souza, who submitted him by UFC 208.

Hendricks has lost four out of his past five fights. Besides this TKO loss, he was also TKOed by Stephen Thompson at UFC Fight Night 82.

The Ada, Oklahoma native only defeated Hector Lombard by decision at UFC Fight Night 105. Boestch is the first fighter to defeat Hendricks in his home state.

Boestch has now improved to 21-11 in his career. Hendricks fell to 18-8.
