Kevin Lee got the controversial win over Michael Chiesa in the UFC Fight Night 112 main event from the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Lee had a rear-naked choke on Chiesa, but instead of letting Chiesa attempt to get out of the lock, the referee called the fight.

Chiesa was never out and never tapped out. He immediately questioned the decision and many believe it was an early stoppage.

This is Cheisa’s first loss in his past four fights. This is only Cheisa’s third loss in his career – and the second submission loss of his career.

Lee has won his past five fights. During this streak, this is his second technical submission, as he also used the technical submission on Magomed Mustafaev at UFC Fight Night 99.

His last three wins have come via submission.

Lee has improved to 16-2 in his lightweight career. Chiesa is 14-3.

Lee called out Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov for a fight in December in Detroit, Michigan. However, instead of wanting that fight, Chiesa said that he’ll go to Detroit in December and run this fight back once again.
