UFC president Dana White has called for Travis “Hapa” Browne to retire. Browne, who is the financeé of Ronda Rousey, lost against Alexey Oleynik at UFC 213 on Saturday night.
White did not like what he saw from Browne in that bout. It was his fourth straight loss.
Oleynik defeated Brown in the second round with a submission loss.
“The guy looked like he would be a world champion,” White said of Browne. “And this is just one of those sports, you never know. One minute you’re absolutely unbeatable and unstoppable, and the next minute, you can’t win a fight …. I think that Travis should retire.”
The 34-year-old Browne has not won in the Octagon since he defeated Matt Mitrione at UFC Fight Night 81 on January 17, 2016. In fact, the heavyweight has lost six of his past eight fights.
He’s 18-7 in his career. Like his lover, Rousey is also on a two-fight skid — and may never fight in the Octagon after being dismantled handle by Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes.
