Rendon hits two HRs vs. the Reds

Washington Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon went 3-for-3 on Saturday night against the Cincinnati Reds. He had two home runs, including a grand slam, and six RBI’s in the 10-7 win.

Rendon has had some of the biggest offensive performances of the season when he’s on. He had a two-run home run off of Reds starting pitcher Luís Castillo in the fourth inning.

He then hit a hanging breaking ball for the grand slam off of reliever Blake Wood in the seventh inning. He also reached base all five-times, including two walks.

The two home runs are the most he had in a game since May 23 when he also had two home runs against the Seattle Mariners. He also had five RBI’s in the contest.

On April 30th, against the New York Mets, he had the biggest game of the season. He had three home runs and 10 RBIs.

This season, he has a .315 batting average with 18 home ribs and 61 RBIs. He also has 48 runs scored and five stolen bases.
