According to a witness of the alleged incident late Sunday night, it appears Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott did not throw a punch. When the news broke on Monday morning, there was very little information about the incident.
A club-goer, who also witnessed the alleged incident, Michael Huffman, told the Forth Worth Star-Telegram that Elliott did not throw a punch. He also said he did not knock out the man at the Dallas-area bar.
“It didn’t go down like that,” Huffman said. “Everybody is saying that, but he didn’t throw a punch. ….. Zelenograd was just standing there, arms folded, chilling, feeling the crowd. Then I see DJ getting loud toward the vicinity of Zeke, and then I see an overhand right. One over the back of Zeke’s shoulder landed square in [DJ] DTrain’s face and he went to sleep.

“He didn’t even see it. Then the crowd circled and dispersed. I’m surprised a whole video hasn’t been released yet.”
At this time, Huffman is the only alleged witness, who has spoken, in an attempt to clear Elliott’s name. This has to be taken with a grain of salt until video surfaces – if it does at all.
We also do not know if Huffman is connected in any way possible to Elliott.
The star back is still putting himself in a bad spot, as he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He needs to avoid situations like this moving forward.

Elliott is potentially facing a suspension from the NFL over an alleged domestic abuse incident involving an ex-girlfriend back in Ohio. No charges have been filed in the case against him, but the NFL may send a message to him.
The 21-year-old, who was the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, had 1,631 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns. He also had 32 receptions for 363 yards and a touchdown.
