He and his girlfriend will be flying to Baltimore instead of taking the two-hour drive.

The Phillies traded Hellickson to the Orioles on Friday night. In exchange for the starting pitcher, Philadelphia acquired outfielder Hyun Soo Choo and minor league pitcher Garrett Cleavinger, along with international signing pool money.

Hellickson last pitched for the Phillies on July 22nd. He received a no-contest after going five innings in the Phillies’ loss to the Milwaukee Brewers in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

His last win came on July 16th. This was his only decision in four starts in July.

He went five innings in a 5-2 win over the Brewers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. When he won against the Brewers, it was his first decision in nearly a month, as he received a loss on June 14th after going five innings in a 7-3 loss to the Boston Red Sox.
