Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is expected to appeal his suspension on Tuesday. He has three business days to appeal the NFL’s decision.
The NFL handed down a six-game suspension after an extensive investigation — they said took over a year to investigate — on Friday. The league said he was suspended under their personal conduct policy.

Elliott was not charged with any crime related to an alleged domestic violence involving his ex-girlfriend Tiffany Thompson. Yet, the NFL used eight photos from Thompson, along with 911 calls, and interviewed at least a dozen witnesses to make their ruling.

Since the NFL has implemented the six-game suspension for domestic violence incidents, only a few have stuck. Some, after the appeal, were ruled down — which Elliott and his legal team hope to get here.
The NFL does not want another Ray Rice saga on their hands. Rice, a now former NFL player, was initially suspended two games by the league before a video came out.
Once that video came out by TMZ Sports from The Revel casino in Atlantic City, Rice had his career turned upside down. No team wants to sign him because of the ramifications they would receive.
There is no known video of any of these three incidents from July 2016. Thompson alleges she was attacked three times by the then-Cowboys rookie.
The Elliott legal team is going to use Thompson against herself. They are going to allege that she lied and attempted to get her friends to lie to the authorities, as well.

She has also reportedly made comments that she was going to ruin Elliott’s career.

Elliott also had 32 receptions for 363 yards and one additional touchdown.
