AJ Styles has regained the United States Championship over Kevin Owens. Shane McMahon, the Smackdown Live! Commissioner and special guest referee, got involved in the match several times. He kept getting hit or knocked out.

Styles then submitted Owens to the Calf Crusher, but McMahon was already knocked out. Owens also had a close call, where he had Styles beat following the pop-up power bomb. However, McMahon noticed that Styles had his foot on the rope before the three count.

After the Phenomenal Forearm and the Styles Clash, Styles is the new champion.

Jinder Mahal defeated Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Championship. The Indian champion used the help of The Singh Brothers to get the win.

They interfered, which allowed Mahal to hit the Khallas and get the pin on Nakamura, who was making his first SummerSlam appearance.

The stipulation was that if Brock Lesnar lost, he would leave the company. However, with all the odds against him, Lesnar retained his Universal Championship in a Fatal Fourway with Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe.

It looked very early that Lesnar was eliminated from the match, as Strowman power slammed him through one announce table, then picked him up and power slammed him through a second announce table. He wasn’t done, as the Beast flipped a third table on top of him.

After some time, Lesnar returned and took out his three opponents. Late in the long fight, Lesnar hit Reigns with an F5, countering Reigns’ spear to retain his belt.
