Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott’s appeal to his six-game personal conduct suspension is expected to extend into Thursday. A key witness in this hearing is not available until Thursday morning.

The Cowboys are giving Zeke time away from the team, as he deals with this matter. Both sides are determined, it seems, to fight this until the end.

Elliott was suspended following a year-long investigation by the NFL. The second-year star back is insisting that he’s being blackmailed by his ex-girlfriend Tiffany Thompson.

Thompson has made comments, even after his suspension, that she’s out to ruin his career. Even his father, who works for the Ohio State Buckeyes, is vehemently denying his son did any wrongdoing.

The six-game suspension is automatic by the NFL after the numerous domestic violence incidents that they have had to face in recent years. If Elliott will have to miss time, it will hurt the Cowboys early on.

If Thursday is the last deal of the appeal, the league may take some time before announcing if they’re going to reverse course. However, all indications are that they will not overturn his suspension no matter how long this appeal takes.

Should Elliott be suspended, he’ll be suspended without pay and lose thousands of dollars.
