New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been in the league for nearly two decades. He should know something about being a quarterback, as he is one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game.

Brady said in a wide-ranging interview on “CBS This Morning,” with Norah O’Donnell, he was asked if Colin Kaepernick could play in the league. Kaepernick has not signed with a team after being released by the San Francisco 49ers earlier this year.

“I sure hope so,” Brady said. “I’ve always watched him and admired him, the way that he’s played he was a great young quarterback. He came to our stadium and beat us and took his team to the Super Bowl.

“He accomplished a lot in the pros as a player. And he’s certainly qualified and I hope he gets a shot.”

Kaepernick was close to signing with the Baltimore Ravens this summer, according to Ravens legend Ray Lewis, before his girlfriend ruined it for him. There have been other quarterbacks, who are lesser qualified than him, have signed with NFL teams.

Some believe that Kaepernick is being blackmailed because of his stance he took last summer. If you’re not clear on what happened, he took a knee in a form of a protest during the national anthem before a preseason game and it made national headlines.

Yet, whatever the reason, or his declining play, he still remains unsigned.
