The Bears thought Glennon was going to play the entire season when he signed with the team away from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Now, the big-money quarterback will be riding the bench for the foreseeable future.
Trubisky will get the start against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5. Both teams will be using back-up quarterbacks in the game.
Back to Trubisky, the Bears traded up with the San Francisco 49ers one spot — yes, one spot — to get the former North Carolina Tar Heels quarterback. GM Ryan Pace did not even advise head coach John Fox that they were going to draft him.
Will the future be now for the Bears? Only time will tell. They have not had a franchise quarterback in a very long time, as Jay Cutler could not even cut it in the Windy City.
