Maryland Terrapins athletic director Kevin Anderson has been placed on administrative leave, effective Oct. 1. He has been effective “fired” by the school, despite a severance package in place.
The Terrapins president Wallace Loh reportedly did not like that Anderson flirted with the Cal Bears about their athletic director job. Anderson has been the Terrapins athletic director since 2010.
Anderson will also receive a severance package from the school. He’ll be on their payroll through 2018. His severance was negotiated by the Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank.
