Florence Flashes head football coach Joe Frappolli is the first head coach in Burlington County history to reach 300 wins. The Flashes shut out the Maple Shade Wildcats, 39-0, on Friday night at Maple Shade High School to get the historic feat.
Besides being the first in Burlington County to do this, he’s the second coach ever in South Jersey history to reach this mark. St. Joseph’s High School head football coach Paul Sacco accomplished the feat first in Sept. 2016.
Frappolli, who preaches one game at a time, is in his 44th year with the Flashes. Florence is now 3-3 on the season.
The Wildcats, under first-year head coach Imion Powell, has fell to 1-6. Maple Shade is on a two-game losing streak after defeating the Riverside High School Rams on Oct. 6.
Mark Pacini had three touchdowns in the game. He helped the Flashes out to a 15-0 score with back-to-back touchdowns. Florence converted a two-point conversion after his first score.
Then, in the third quarter, Pacini also scored on an eight-yard run.
Jajuan Hays also had two touchdowns. He scored on a one-yard run and added a 14-yard rushing score, as well.
John Woolston also picked off Wildcats quarterback Anthony Veneri. Woolston returned the ball for an 18-hard interception returned for a touchdown.
