Eagles defeat Redskins again, win sixth game

For the second-time this season, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football. The Eagles won 34-24 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Eagles have improved to 6-1 on the season. They have won five straight games after suffering a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2.

The Redskins fell to 3-3 on the season.

Both teams traded field goals early in the game. Chris Thompson gave the Redskins a 10-3 lead when he caught a seven-yard touchdown reception from Kirk Cousins.

Mack Hollins tied the game at 10 all with a 64-yard touchdown reception from Carson Wentz. Zach Ertz then gave the Eagles a 17-10 lead with a four-yard touchdown reception with 22 seconds left before halftime.

Corey Clement gave the Eagles a two touchdown lead, as he caught a nine-yard touchdown pass from Wentz. Jordan Reed cut the lead to seven points when he caught a five-yard touchdown reception from Cousins with 44 seconds left in the third quarter.

The Eagles scored 10 points in the fourth quarter. Nelson Agholor caught a 10-yard touchdown reception from Wentz. Jake Elliott then made a 42-yard field goal.

Reed caught his second touchdown with a 12-yard touchdown reception from Cousins with 3:17 left in the game.

Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz went 17 of 25 for 268 passing yards. He also had four touchdowns and an interception.

Wentz also had eight carries for 63 yards. LeGarrette Blount had 14 carries for 29 yards. Wendell Smallwood had eight carries for 25 yards.

Ertz had five receptions for 89 yards, including a touchdown. Hollins had a 64-yard touchdown reception. Agholor had four receptions for 45 yards, including a touchdown. Alshon Jeffery had two receptions for 37 yards.

Eagles kicker Jake Elliott also made two field goals.

Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins went 30 of 40 for 303 passing yards. He also had three touchdowns and an interception.

Thompson had seven carries for 38 yards. Cousins had three carries for 18 yards. Robert Kelley had seven carries for 16 yards.

Vernon Davis had four receptions for 67 yards. Reed had eight receptions for 64 yards, including two touchdowns. Josh Doctson had three receptions for 39 yards. Niles Paul also had a 32-yard reception. Thompson had five receptions for 26 yards, including a touchdown.

Redskins kicker Nick Rose also made a field goal.
