The Boston Bruins will get a big boost to their offense on Friday night when center Brad Marchand returns from an upper body injury. He has missed the past two games due to injury.

Now that he’s healthy once again, he’ll re-join the first line with Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrňák. Through 12 games this season, Marchand had 14 points in 12 games.

Marchand was a game-time decision before being allowed to go. He wasn’t allowed to travel with the team as he was injured, but he’ll play this evening against the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

When Marchand has been out, he’s been replaced on the first line by Anders Bjork.

Marchand has spent his entire career with the Bruins dating back to the 2009-10 season.

In his last five games, Marchand has two goals and three points with a 2 +/-. He was averaging more than 22 minutes on the ice each time.
