By Anthony Caruso III | PublisherThe Arkansas Razorbacks has officially fired head coach Bret Bielema. He was let go after the Razorbacks season-ending loss to the Missouri Tigers on Friday.
Bielema knew that this was going to happen since last Sunday. The 48-45 loss to the Tigers did not help.
Bielema was the Razorbacks Head Coach for the past five seasons.
Bielema, who left the Wisconsin Badgers because he felt his assistant coaches were not paid enough, guided the Razorbacks to a 4-8 record this season.
Arkansas went 1-7 within the Southeastern Conference in 2017. The lone conference win came on October 28th against the Ole Miss Rebels.
Arkansas was just 4-12 over the past two seasons within the SEC. The Razorbacks went 7-6 last season.
His best season in Fayetteville, Arkansas was 8-5 during the 2015 season. That season they finished that season tied for third in the SEC West with a 5-3 record.
As the Badgers Head Coach from 2006 through 2012, he went 68-24. Bielema was also 37-19 within the Big Ten Conference during his tenure in Madison, Wisconsin.
