USC caputres the first South Division Pac-12 Championship

The No. 10 USC Trojans are the first team from the South Division to win the Pac-12 Conference Championship game. The Trojans defeated the No. 12 Stanford Cardinal, 31-28, from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

Prior to the Trojans win, the North Division teams were a perfect 6-0 in the conference championship game. Stanford had three of those wins.

The Trojans have now locked in its place in the Rose Bowl. It’s the second straight year that the Trojans have played in Pasadena, Calif.

Trojans quarterback Sam Darnold went 17 of 24 for 325 passing yards. He also had two touchdowns.

Ronald Jones II had 30 carries for 140 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Stephen Carr also had seven carries for 42 yards.

Michael Pittman Jr. had seven receptions for 146 yards and a touchdown. Steven Mitchell Jr. also had two receptions for 66 yards. Daniel Imatorbhebhe had a 48-yard reception. Tyler Vaughns had three receptions for 26 yards and a touchdown.

Trojans kicker Chase McGrath also made a field goal.

Cardinal quarterback K.J. Costello went 10 of 22 for 192 passing yards. He also had two touchdowns.

Heisman candidate Bryce Love had 22 carries for 125 rushing yards and a touchdown. Cameron Scarlett also had seven carries for 21 rushing yards and a touchdown.

JJ Arcega-Whiteside had two receptions for 87 yards. Kaden Smith had four receptions for 8- yards and two touchdowns.
