Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown will feature his injured teammate on his cleats for Sunday’s game. Brown, according to ESPN, is one of 15 teammates, who plan to wear Ryan Shazier cleats.
Brown will wear them during the warmups before the game with the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night at Heinz Field. Shazier was injured during Monday Night Football’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Shazier was initially diagnosed with a spinal contusion. He underwent surgery on Wednesday, which some believe will end his career.
Brown will be joined in this cleat tribute, along with Vince Williams, Sean Davis, Stephon Tuitt, Cam Heyward, Arthur Moats, Tyson Alualu, Mike Hilton, T.J. Watt, Javon Hargrave, William Gay, Bud Dupree, Robert Golden, Roosevelt Nix and Anthony Chickillo.
Since the surgery on Wednesday, the Steelers have not announced an update on his condition. His season is definitely over, though, and there are concerns about his short-term and long-term health.
Shazier was one of the Steelers better players. He was also one of their most likable players.
There are presently two hashtags for Shazier, which are #prayfor50 and #shalieve.
