According to a CBS Sports story, there is a bad relationship with two Dallas Cowboys running backs. These two players are Cowboys great Emmitt Smith and current back Ezekiel Elliott.
Despite the two being former first-round draft picks by the Cowboys, Smith says that’s about it that they have in common right now.
“I wouldn’t say [we have] a great relationship,” Smith told UPI this week.

Unfortunately, when it comes to the NFL, there are little friends. Yet, there is a lot of respect for each other, no matter if you are a current player, or played in years past.
“I think we have a mutual respect for one another,” Smith said. “I think Zeke is a great addition to the Dallas Cowboys and will make a big difference when he gets back.”
Elliott is not eligible to return to the Cowboys until Christmas Eve after serving a six-game suspension following a suspension from the league for violating their personal conduct policy. After a year-plus investigation from the league — and appeals that lasted much of the first part of the season — he finally accepted the suspension but continues to deny involvement in three incidents involving his ex-girlfriend Tiffany Thompson.
“Well, what I would say is that the world right now is so polarizing,” the Hall of Famer said. “You have to be extra careful in terms of what you do, where you do it, and how you go about doing it. He’s a young kid. Just like a lot of young players coming out of college, you have to learn how to balance the working life and play kind of scenarios and understand where to do things and where not to. That’s the balance he has to learn.”

This season, through six games, Elliott has had 131 carries for 540 yards. He has also scored four rushing touchdowns.
He also has 18 receptions for 206 yards and two touchdowns.
Elliott has had three games, where he surpassed 100 rushing yards. Outside of the previously mentioned game against the 49ers, he had 116 rushing yards in a 35-31 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
In the season-opener, Elliott had 104 rushing yards in a 19-3 win over the New York Giants.
In his other three games, he had eight rushing yards in a loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 2. He also had 80 rushing yards in a 28-17 win against the Arizona Cardinals.
He also had 85 rushing yards in a 35-30 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
