Durant scores 35 as Warriors sink Lakers

For the second-time in as many days, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Los Angeles Lakers. The Warriors won 113-106 over the Lakers at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California.

The Warriors improved to 25-6 on the season. The Lakers fell to 11-18.

Warriors forward Kevin Durant had a game-high 35 points. He also had seven rebounds, seven assists, four blocks and a steal.

The Warriors received a huge boost from rookie Jordan Bell, who started at center in place of Zaza Pachulia. He had 20 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal.

Draymond Green and Klay Thompson also had double-figures from the starters. Green had 13 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, and two steals, while Thompson had 16 points, one rebound, one assist and two blocks.

The Warriors played this game without Pachulia and Stephen Curry, who is expected to be out at least another week.

The young Lakers were led by their two rookies in this game. Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball combined for 51 points.

Kuzma, who is considered a Rookie of the Year candidate with his stellar play thus far in the young season, had 27 points. He also had 14 rebounds, an assist, a block and two steals.

Ball added 24 points. He also had five rebounds, five assists, and a block.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Brandon Ingram also added double-figures from the starting lineup. Ingram added 12 points, three rebounds, and four assists.

Caldwell-Pope, who can only play in the State of California right now, as he serves a 25-day “jail” sentence, had 10 points, along with five rebounds, four assists, and three assists.

Julius Randle gave the Lakers a big boost off the bench as he had 21 points in 24 minutes. He also had 10 rebounds, one assist, one block, and two steals.
