The Miami Dolphins have hired Dowell Loggains as their offensive coordinator. He will now be reunited with Adam Gase, the Dolphins head coach.

Loggains and Gase were previously together with the Chicago Bears. Loggains was the Bears offensive coordinator for the past two seasons.

Loggains replaced Clyde Christiansen as the Dolphins offensive coordinator. Despite being named the offensive coordinator, Gase will still call the plays for the team. Christiansen had been the Dolphins offensive coordinator for the past two seasons.

With the Bears, their offense lacked creativity. However, maybe with his new weapons, Loggains could change things around.

He became available — along with the rest of the Bears staff — when the team fired head coach John Fox after three seasons. He spent three total seasons with the Bears, including his first in 2015, as the Bears quarterbacks coach, while Gase was the offensive coordinator.

Prior to joining the Bears staff, he worked a season with the Cleveland Browns, as their quarterbacks’ coach in 2014. He was the Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator from 2012 to 2013.

He also began his coaching career with the Titans, first as an offensive quality control coordinator for two seasons, then another three seasons as their quarterbacks’ coach.
