The Minnesota Twins continues to add bullpen depth. The team signed free agent pitcher Addison Reed to a two-year deal.
Reed joins Fernando Rodney and Zach Duke, who has been signed to the bullpen this offseason. Reed will receive just under $17 million these next two seasons.
This will be Reed’s fifth team that he has played for in his career. He began his career with the Chicago White Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, New York Mets and the Boston Red Sox.
Reed was traded from the Mets to the Red Sox at the trade deadline. In the July 31st, 2017 trade, the Mets received three minor leaguers.
