Navy Midshipmen Head Football Coach Ken Niumatalolo has turned down overtures from the Arizona Wildcats. He has withdrawn his name from consideration.

There was even a report a few days ago that said the Wildcats offered Niumatalolo their head coaching job. A few hours later, a different report said no job offer was made.

Niumatalolo has turned down jobs before to stay in Annapolis, Maryland. He rejected overtures from the BYU Cougars before.

The Wildcats have been without a Head Coach since they fired Rich Rodriguez. He was let go after an investigation from a former Arizona employee, who is suing him for $7.5 million.

She alleges that she hid an an affair from his wife. During the school’s investigation, they found things that they did not like involving the culture of the program.

The Wildcats will now have to focus on another head coach as Niumatalolo is a perfect match for the Midshipmen. It is going to be tough to ever pry him away from the school that means so much to him.
