Rodman arrested for DUI in California

Former NBA player Dennis Rodman was arrested for DUI on Saturday night, according to TMZ Sports. He was arrested in Newport Beach, California.
He was pulled over at approx. 11 pm PST for a traffic violation. Then, during their investigation, they asked Rodman to take a field sobriety test after allegedly smelling alcohol on him.
He obviously failed the test. The Worm, as he was known during his playing career, was handcuffed, then put in a police car for transportation to the police station.
TMZ Sports reports that Rodman was cooperative throughout the entire process. He blew over the .08 legal limit, according to the story.
They also report he was in jail for seven hours before being released after the officers felt he was sober enough to leave. He also was arrested for DUI in 1999.
The 56-year-old Trenton, New Jersey native played for the Detroit Lions, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, and the Dallas Mavericks in his NBA career. He was also a five-time NBA Champion.
Rodman was also a two-time NBA All-Star and a two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year. He was a seven-time NBA rebounding champion, along with being named to the NBA All-Defensive First-Team seven-times.
