Zion Williamson announced on Saturday night that he will attend Duke University next season. Williamson made the announcement on his mother’s birthday.

Williamson is the No. 2 ranked prospect in the Class of 2018. Before he made his announcement, the Clemson Tigers were considered the top team.

Williamson became a famous high school player after making insane dunks in games, which made him a YouTube sensation. He is a 2018 McDonald’s All-American.

Duke now has the top three prospects in the country. Besides R.J. Barrett and Williamson, they also have No. 3 prospect Cameron Reddish.

Barrett, before he made his reclassification to the 2018 Class, is the No. 1 recruit in the country. Williamson, prior to Barrett taking over the top spot, was the No. 1 recruit in the country.

Williamson is playing his final season at Spartanburg Day School in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

These top three players are likely one-and-done players. They are all considered top-level NBA prospects.

Duke now has the No. 1 class in the country. Barrett, who attends Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida, is listed as a 6-foot-7 small forward.

Reddish, like Barrett, also plays small forward. He is also 6-foot-7. He attends Westtown School in Norristown, Pennsylvania.

Williamson is listed as a power forward. Yet, he is 6-foot-6, one inch shorter than Barrett and Reddish.
