Johnny Football wants to be paid like a starter in the Canadian Football League. However, he has never played a game in the league.

The former MFL starter wants to receive $500,000 from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Yet, they have only offered him $150,000.

The Tiger-Cats, who own his rights, said they did not take his contract demands seriously. Manziel has not played football since being released by the Cleveland Browns.

He was released by the Browns in March 2016. Yet, his final game with the team was in January of that year.

Since being released by the Browns, Manziel has not played football for any league. The CFL was one of the league’s that was being mentioned as being interested in him.

Manziel hinted at playing in the XFL in 2020 when the league returns following a 19-year hiatus. Yet, league owner Vince McMahon said individuals, who even have a criminal record or DUI, will not be able to play in his league.

Whenever he plays, Manziel will have to prove that he’s a changed man. He has to show teams that he was not the toxic individual he was in Cleveland.
