Hot Wheels Car Care/Gas Monkey Energy Pro Stock driver Alex Laughlin is the provisional No. 1 qualifier on Friday at the NHRA Arizona Nationals at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona. Laughlin will be looking to pick up his first No. 1 qualifier of the season.
Laughlin received the top spot with a 6.537 at 2009.49 mph pass during his second pass of the day. Should he get the No. 1 qualifier on Saturday, it’ll be his second in his career.

“It’s awesome to be able to go to sleep tonight as the current No. 1 qualifier,” he said. “Obviously, anything can change [Saturday], but we ran stellar times during testing and I don’t know if it’s the car or the track, but I definitely hope that we are finally connecting the dots.”
Harlow Sammons Pro Stock driver Chris McGaha is the provisional No. 2 qualifier following his 6.545 at 210.54 pass. Summit Racing Equipment Pro Stock driver Greg Anderson is the provisional No. 3 qualifier after his 6.546 at 211.13 mph pass.
