Mark Micke is $101,000 richer on Saturday. He’ll likely have to split some of that money with his car owner Jason Carter.

Micke won the $101,000 winner-take-all Duck X Productions Sweet 16 Radial vs. World Shootout at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Valdosta, Ga. He dominated the event in Carter’s 1978 Chevy Malibu.

Micke defeated Dewayne Mills in the final round of the event. Micke went 3.72 for the win, while Mills went 4.07.

During the event, Micke reset the world record three times. He also was the No. 1 qualifier with a 3.62 pass on Friday.

Mills advances to the final round with Keith Haney fouled out, as he went .002 red. Mills went 3.734 in the semifinals.

Micke went to the final round when Paolo Giust was no match for him. Micke went 3.75 to Giust’s 3.82.

This event also included two NHRA drivers in Alex Laughlin and Stevie “Fast” Jackson. Laughlin is a licensed NHRA Pro Stock driver, while Jackson is a licensed NHRA Pro Mod driver.

Micke now has the bragging rights and the money to prove it.
