At one point this season, especially during the trade deadline, Kemba Walker’s name was being brought up as a potential trade candidate. Instead of dealing their star, the Hornets held onto him.

On Wednesday night, he became the franchise’s all-time leading scorer.

He scored his 9,841st point against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He surpassed Dell Curry as the franchise leader.

Walker scored the basket with 18.9 seconds left in the game. The basket came with the Cavaliers leading 118-105.

After he scored the basket, his teammates clapped on the bench in a congratulatory gesture.
