Deontay Wilder is not messing around. He wants Anthony Joshua for his next fight.
However, Joshua, who defeated the undefeated Joseph Parker on Saturday night, has not answered the call for the mega fight. Once word began to leak out on social media that Joshua won once again, Wilder went on social media to call out Joshua.
Wilder is 40-0 on his career. He has knocked out 39 opponents that he’s faced.
The 32-year-old only has a unanimous decision win to Germane Stiverne. That happened on Jan. 17, 2015 when Wilder won the World Boxing Council World Heavyweight title.
Wilder has not fought since defeating Luís Ortíz on March 3rd, 2018. He knocked out Ortíz out in the 10th round.
The Ortíz fight was just the second-time he knocked out an opponent in the 10th-round or later. Besides the Ortíz fight, he also knocked out Johann Duhaupas in the 11th-round on Sept. 26, 2015, for the WBC World Heavyweight title.
Joshua, the 28-year-old is 21-0 in his career. Like Wilder, the United Kingdom boxer has knocked out all opponents except one.
The fight with Parker was the first-time he did knot knockout an opponent in his career. The fight went the distance before Joshua won via unanimous decision.
Like Wilder, Joshua has knocked out two opponents in the 10th-round or later. He defeated Wladimir Klitschko in the 11th-round on April 29th, 2017.
He also knocked out Carlos Takam in the 10th-round on Oct. 28th, 2017.
