WrestleMania 34 began with the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the pre-show. “Woken” Matt Hardy won the match with a little assistance towards the end by Bray Wyatt. This was Wyatt’s first appearance since the Ultimate Deletion.

Cedric Alexander on the WWE Cruiserweight Championship with a win over Mustafa Ali in the Tournament final. This is the first-time he has won a championship in WWE. He’s the first Cruiserweight Champion since the company released Enzo Amore.

Then, in the final pre-show match, Naomi defeated Bayley when she got eliminated to win the 20-woman battle royal for the inaugural WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal Trophy.

On the main card, Seth Rollins defeated The Miz and Finn Balor to become the WWE Intercontinental Championship in their triple threat match. This is the first-time he has held the Intercontinental Championship with the company.

Charlotte Flair snapped Asuka’s long win streak. Flair defeated Asuka by submission to retain her SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Jinder Mahal defeated Randy Orton, Bobby Roode and Rusev in their Fatal Four-way match for the WWE United States Champion. Mahal is the Unites States Champion for the first-time in his career.

He was also the WWE Champion from May through Nov. 2017.

Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey defeated Triple H and Stephanie McMahon via submission in their mixed tag team match. This was Rousey’s first match with the company since joining them a few months ago in Jan.

The Bludgeon Brothers (Harper and Rowan) defeated The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) and The New Dayy (Big E and Kofi Kingston) in their triple threat match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. The Bludgeon Brothers became the champions for the first-time.

However, while Harper and Rowans won the belts for the first-time, as The Bludgeon Brothers, as they were re-packaged, Harper and Rowan were previously the NXT Tag Team Champions. Plus, Harper, Randy Orton and Wyatt were SmackDown Tag Team Champions as The Wyatt Family in 2016.

After being called out for a month by John Cena, The Undertaker returned and dominated Cena. This match only lasted 2:45, the fastest match on the card.

Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon defeated Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn by submission. Bryan made Zayn tap out. The stipulation for the match suggested if Owens and Zayn would have won, they would have been rehired by SmackDown.

Now, with the expected mixup after WrestleMania, Owens and Zayn will likely switch to Raw.

Nia Jax defeated Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Championship. This is her first championship in her two-year career.

AJ Styles defeated Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Championship. After the match, Nakamura attacked Styles.

This was only their second single’s match in their career dating back to 2008.

Braun Strowman, along with Nicholas, a 10-year-old fan Strowman picked from the audience, defeated The Bar (Cesaro and Sheamus) to win the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships. Strowman could have picked any superstar to be his partner; however, he went in a different direction.

Being that Nicholas is a fan, the WWE may make this a short-lived reign. Since Monday Night Raw is also in New Orleans, Strowman could likely lose the belts in a few hours.

In a rematch of the 2015 WrestleMania main event, Brock Lesnar defeated Roman Reigns. Lesnar needed to hit Reigns with six F5’s despite two spears from Reigns to get the win.

This means that the UFC rumors about Lesnar were all speculation, because the part-timer, who continously breaks the company’s 30-day champion rule, will likely be the champion for at least the next six months. This is not the ending that many wrestling fans thought was going to happen.
