Harvey moves on, not talking about Mets

Earlier this week, the Cincinnati Reds took a huge gamble. They made a trade with the New York Mets.

The team acquired struggling pitcher Matt Harvey for a catcher. Harvey is expected to make his Reds debut on Friday against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Los Angeles, Calif.

Despite beginning his career in the Big Apple, the starting pitcher has refused to talk about his Mets experience. He went 9-19 after the 2015 World Series.

He was 0-2 this season, as a starter. He was initially moved from being a starter to being a reliever, which he balked at. He felt like he was a starter.

Harvey rejected the Mets minor league assignment. They then had seven days to find a dance partner to make a deal work, or outright release him.

Ultimately, he was dealt to the Reds. But because of the bad press he received during his tenure, especially the past several seasons, he wants to move on and not focus on the past.
