The No. 2 Albany Great Danes are going to need an offensive explosion in the second half if they would like to play in Monday’s National Championship game. The No. 3 Yale Bulldogs leads the Great Danes, 12-5, at halftime of their semifinal game of the Division I Men’s Lacrosse Championship at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.
If the Bulldogs can hold onto this lead and win the contest, it’ll be their second win over the Great Danes this season. They won 14-6 on April 22nd to improve to 11-2 on the season.

Yale jumped out to a 7-1 lead in the first quarter. They then scored five second quarter goals compared to four by Albany.
Matt Gaudet leads the Bulldogs with five goals. The Undertaker, as he is being called by the announcers, is doing everything for his team to advance to the National Championship game.
Jackson Morrill added three goals and three assists. Ben Reeves also had two goals and three assists.
Joseph Sessa and John Daniggelis also had a goal each. Jason Alessi also had an assist.
Sean Eccles led the Great Danes in the first half with two goals. Connor Fields, TD Ierlan, and Jack Burgmaster also had a goal each.
With Fields goal in the first half, it was his 197th in his career. He tied former Brown player Dylan Malloy for the fourth-most in Division I history.
Justin Reh also had an assist.
