North Dinwiddie, Va. – Summit Racing Equipment’s Pro Stock driver Greg Anderson is the No. 1 qualifier of the inaugural Virginia NHRA Nationals at Virginia Motorsports Park on Saturday. Anderson went 6.571 at 210.67 mph in his 2018 Chevy Camaro.
Anderson picked up his sixth straight Pro Stock No. 1 qualifier of the season. In addition, this is his second straight, as he was also the No. 1 qualifier in Chicago.
“Even though it’s been hot this weekend, this wonderful racetrack is not going to change by tomorrow so we know that can only get better,” Anderson said. “This is a wonderful class right now with competition through the roof, so we know every pair is going to run well and it will be an exciting day.”
Anderson is followed by his teammate Bo Butner, who is using the Team Summit horsepower, is the No. 2 qualifier. The Floyd Knobs, Indiana native went 6.575 at 210.14 mph in his 2018 Chevy Camaro.
Jeg Coughlin Jr. – who snapped a four-year winless streak in Chicago – is the No. 3 qualifier in his Jegs.com/Elite Performance 2018 Chevy Camaro. The Delaware, Ohio native went 6.579 at 209.30 mph.
Mountain View Tires Pro Stock driver Vincent Nobile is the No. 4 qualifier. The Dix Hills, New York native went 6.580 at 209.52 mph in his 2018 Chevy Camaro.
Gray Motorsports’ Tanner Gray is the No. 5 qualifier. The Mooresville, North Carolina native went 6.585 at 209.92 mph in his 2017 Chevy Camaro.
